Day 1-2: Ripatransone

Ripatransone, fascinating and marvellous medieval village, is well known for its views, so to be called “Belvedere del Piceno” and also for the narrowest alley in Italy. The old town is very rich in art and monuments such as the Cathedral, Palazzo del Podestà, Mercantini Theatre, the Art Gallery, the Museum of Rural Life. Every Friday night in July and on the first Friday in August, the “Passatella”, traditional food and wine tasting walking tour, takes place along the main street of the village.

Day 3: Acquaviva Picena

Acquaviva, small village on top of a hill, is dominated by a medieval Fortress that, on the first week of August, houses “Sponsalia” the historical Reevocation of the marriagebetween Forasteria of Acquavivaand Rainaldo of Brunforte, happened in the 1234. In the historical centre it is possible to admire the Church of St. Rocco, the Church of St. Nicolò, the Church and Convent of St. Francesco.

Strolling up and down the streets of the old town it is possible to purchase the typical straw baskets or the tasty “spumini” and other specialties.
